Bernardo Atxaga Appearing at the "Lettres du Monde" Festival

Writer Bernardo Atxaga will participate this coming weekend in several events at the Lettres du Monde festival in Bordeaux, France, which brings together and celebrates literature from around the world.
The French association Lettres d'échange puts on different activities every year to promote the discovery of the world's cultures and their literature. This year they're bringing us a wealth of events such as readings, presentations, meetings with authors, etc.
This year's program includes Bernardo Atxaga, who will take part in four events throughout the weekend.

The two writers will take part in a colloquium along with translator André Gabastou and literary critic Jean Laurenti. - Shola et les lions

These aren't the only activities taking place over the upcoming weekend. From October 9-23, the itinerant festival, now in its 5th year, is showcasing the culture and literature of Spain, with more than a dozen Spanish writers participating in the festival. Almost 60 events are scheduled to take place in libraries, bookstores, cinemas, cultural centers, schools and universities throughout Aquitaine.
