These first months of 2026 bring several international translations for Bernardo Atxaga. “Golondrinas”, the Spanish translation of Bernardo Atxaga’s latest novel (“Enarak”, 2025) will be published in April by Alfaguara/Penguin. There are also new editions in Hungary and Italy.

Bernardo Atxaga’s latest book (Paradisuaren kanpoko aldeak, 2023) has been translated into English by Margaret Jull Costa as “Outside Paradise”, and published by Francis Boutle Publishers. The book has already been well received by critics.

The farsi translation of Bernardo Atxaga’s “Memoirs of a Basque Cow,” has been chosen by the Children’s Book Council of Iran as one the three chosen books of 2023-24.
