Last week the Euskadi Prize for Literature jurors released the list of winners for 2014. The winner of the Basque language prize was Bernardo Atxaga for his novel Nevadako egunak (Nevada Days), published by Pamiela.

Atxaga was awarded the Euskadi Prize for his latest novel Nevadako egunak, published in its original Basque in 2013 by Pamiela and later published in Spanish by publisher Alfaguara under the title "Días de Nevada".

This is Atxaga's fourth Euskadi Prize; he won the Basque language prize 1989 (for Obabakoak), the children's literature prize in 1997 (for Xola eta basurdeak) and the Spanish language prize in 1999 (for Lista de locos y otros alfabetos).
