The Guardian has included Hemingway, Cervantes and Atxaga in its list of 10 of the best novels set in Spain.

The most recent issue of the journal on contemporary Spanish theater Estreno features an article about the play “Obabakoak”, directed by Calixto Bieito.

The Italian newspaper “La Repubblica” has published a feature about the previously unreleased recordings of a lecture series given by Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges in 1965. The recordings fell into the hands of Bernardo Atxaga, who donated them to the Casa del Lector Foundation last year.

The Financial Times has just published an interview with Bernardo Atxaga that touches on the author’s work, the current political situation, the Basque language, and the Basque Country in general, among other topics.

An interview with Bernardo Atxaga appears in the current issue of the literary magazine Words without Borders interviewed in the magazine Words without Borders, giving a brief review of his life and his work as a writer. The interview is available online.

Bernardo Atxaga’s latest novel will be one of the topics on the upcoming “Saturday Review” program, which will be broadcast this Saturday on BBC Radio 4 and available on the web.

Bernardo Atxaga recently appeared on a program called Writers & Company, hosted by Canadian writer Eleanor Wachtel on CBC radio. The interview is now available on the Internet.

Bernardo Atxaga’s novel The Accordionist’s Son continues to make inroads in the United States. This past weekend The New York Times published the first chapter of the novel, as well as a review of the novel.
