Bernardo Atxaga presents his novel "Días de Nevada" in Mexico

Writer Bernardo Atxaga participated in several events in Mexico last week. He spent two days at the International Book Fair in Guadalajara, where he presented his latest book Días de Nevada. He later made an appearance alongside journalist Javier Aranda at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City on December 3, which coincided with World Euskara Day, an international celebration of the Basque language.

Several weeks ago we wrote that The Adventures of Shola (Pushkin, 2013), the English translation of Las aventuras de Xola, had been selected as a finalist for the Marsh Award, and yesterday we received the news that the 2015 winner is indeed the book written by Bernardo Atxaga and translated by Margaret Jull Costa.

The Italian newspaper "La Repubblica" has published a feature about the previously unreleased recordings of a lecture series given by Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges in 1965. The recordings fell into the hands of Bernardo Atxaga, who donated them to the Casa del Lector Foundation last year.
Atxaga wins the Euskadi Prize for "Nevadako egunak" ("Nevada Days")
