Bernardo Atxaga, finalist for the “Shadow” Independent Foreign Fiction Prize
Bernardo Atxaga has just been honored by the “Shadow” Independent Foreign Fiction Prize. His latest novel to be translated into English, Seven Houses in France, has made the shortlist put out a shadow jury made up of a group of bloggers that specialize in foreign fiction. This shadow jury accompanies the official jury.

Booktrust has just released its list of the 15 works of fiction nominated for “Foreign Fiction Prize”. This prize is one of the most widely recognized prizes for non-English fiction, and for the first time a novel originally written in Basque Bernardo Atxaga’s “Seven Houses in France” has made the list.
