Water Over Stones, published in English
Bernardo Atxaga’s latest novel has been translated into English by Thomas Bunstead and Margaret Jull Costa as “Water Over Stones” (original Basque “Etxeak eta Hilobiak” would be literally “Houses and Graves”). Two editions have been launched in the UK and the US; and the book has already been praised by critics.

Atxaga presents his latest greek translation at Chania’s Book Festival
Bernardo Atxaga will take part today (June the 30th, at 10 pm) in the 1st Chania Book Festival in the island of Crete (Greece), where he will present the latest greek translation of one of his novels, Houses and Graves, which has also been recently translated into Serbian.

Obabakoak selected as one of May’s best reads in Italy
L’Indice magazine, one of the most renowned cultural magazines in Italy, listed Obabakoak as one of the May issue’s recommended books. First published in 1991, Obabakoak was re-released in Italy earlier this year, this time by publisher 21 Lettere.

Obabakoak named a top read in Italy
La Repubblica, one of Italy’s major daily newspapers, has included Bernardo Atxaga’s novel on a recent list of best reads. Obabakoak was recently re-published in Italy by 21 Lettere.
