This past December, the Albanian translation of Seven Houses in France (original Spanish version published by Pamiela in 2009) was released.

The Greek translation of Bernardo Atxaga’s novel The Accordionist’s Son was released this week.

Bernardo Atxaga has just presented his latest project, the DVD-book “El paraíso y los gatos” (Paradise and Cats), the Spanish version of the original Basque Paradisua eta katuak, a compilation of poems, stories and reflections accompanied by the music of Jabier Muguruza.

A story by Bernardo Atxaga, “Pirpo and Chanberlán, Murderers” (“Pirpo eta Txanberlain hiltzaileak” in its original Basque), has been selected as one of the best European works of short fiction for 2013. The story appears in the volume “Best European Fiction 2013”, edited by Aleksandar Hemon.

Atxaga’s latest novel, Seven Houses in France, continues to be well received in the United States. The latest review comes from the website Fiction Advocate.

Publishers Weekly lists Seven Houses in France as one of the best works of fiction of 2012. This is more welcome news for Atxaga’s novel, which has been well received in the United States.

“Seven Houses in France” has just been published in North America by Graywolf Press. The novel is garnering positive reviews in the United States.
